is the Managing Director of Simon Rowberry Consulting & Support Limited

Simon has almost 40 years' private sector and Local Government experience, including 7 years at Director level. He has held the posts of Chief Officer (Environment & Economic Development) at Harborough District Council, and two Strategic Director posts at Cannock Chase Council - Director of Policy & Review and then Director of Operations. In addition, he has held a wide range of senior management roles, as a professional Interim Manager, with Local Planning Authorities across the country

Although the Company has a largely public-sector focus, it also assists private sector clients with the preparation, submission and negotiation of all types of planning applications, as well as the submission and management of planning appeals, including attendance at Hearings and Public Local Inquiries

Simon’s extensive senior public sector experience means that the Company is well placed to advise its private sector clients, whatever the type or scale of their proposal, how to maximise development potential and meet the requirements of the Local Planning Authority and other regulatory bodies.

He has provided training to a wide range of Local Authorities throughout the UK, both Officers and Elected Members
